Meet Our Staff

Dr. Dana Tankell

Dr. Dana graduated from Hunter College with a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science where she focused her studies on the athlete. She also was on the gymnastics team and managed the wrestling team. In 1992 she graduated from Life College in Marietta, GA. She moved to San Diego and has been practicing here since. In November 2003 she opened the Chiropractic Connection Wellness Center with the intent of bringing together alternative therapies to better optimize the natural healing process and maintain health.

<Dong-Phuong Nguyen, M.S.T.O.M., L.Ac.Dong-Phuong earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She also trained and certified as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine at Vien Y Hoe Dan Toc Dong Nai in Vietnam. The focus of her treatment is finding where disharmony exists, wether in excess or deficience, hot or cold, wet or dry, etc. Combining knowledge with the discipline, practice and experience of the meridian system, she has the essential tools to positively affect your health.

Alexia De Chandt, CIHom

Alexia has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from USD. She trained with Homeopaths/Educators Shelley McQuerter, CIHom and Willow Tipton, DIHom & received her certification in Homeopathy and Bach Flower Essences in February 2007. She was drawn to Homeopathy because it is a safe, natural and gentle method of healing and balancing the body. A typical consultation is very in-depth & lasts approximately 90 minutes. She will take into consideration such things as family & health history, lifestyle, mental & emotional states and current health conditions and symptoms in order to build a multidimensional picture of the individual. Homeopathy is based on the Principal "like treats like" and is highly individualized, in that several people suffering from the same illness may require completely different remedies.
